Sydney Metro also leads the development of vibrant station precincts to meet customer and community needs, transforming the way Sydney travels and helping shape the future of Australia’s largest city.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>The opportunity </strong></p><p> </p><p>Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, an exceptional opportunity for a Director Project Development to join the leadership team within the Sydney Metro’s operations, customer and placemaking division. This pivotal role leads the development phase of Sydney Metro projects, including coordination of relevant technical workstreams and inter-Agency stakeholders to prepare considered investment recommendations for Government. The role also leads Sydney Metro’s interface with TfNSW during the pre-development strategic business case phase for projects, acting as principal point of contact regarding metro system requirements and technical feasibility.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>What you will be involved with</strong></p><p> </p><p>Champion the considered expansion of the metro network, especially in relation to the six outcomes of the Future Transport 2056 strategy, through well-consulted and evidence-based investment recommendations.</p><p>This role will lead collaboration and cooperation with TfNSW, and work with other relevant government agencies to inform land use and transport planning opportunities across Sydney for metro corridors.</p><p>Lead Sydney Metro’s interface with TfNSW during the pre-development strategic business case phase for projects, acting as principal point of contact regarding metro system requirements and technical feasibility.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Ideal experience, skills and personal qualities for success in this role:</strong></p><p> </p><p>The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline, and / or equivalent experience in strategic planning, project development, urban planning, policies, project justification  and/or business case development in a complex fast moving environment (e.g. matrix reporting model).</p><p>You are an experienced senior leader with demonstrated experience in providing strategic leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary teams with in fast paced complex organisations, delivering state significant strategic initiatives.</p><p>Accomplished in building strong working relationships with extensive experience in customer-centric environments building collaborative relationships across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.</p><p>Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, able to juggle several priorities at once.</p><p>You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be naturally self-motivated, and have exceptional problem solving capabilities.</p><p>Self-starter able to lead and deliver, with strong project management skills.</p><p>Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to be an integral part of the success of Australia’s first fully automated metro and make a real difference for communities.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Want to know more?</strong></p><p> </p><p>Please click <a href="">here</a> to view a copy of the role description.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Salary and Benefits</strong></p><p> </p><p>This is a Transport Senior Service (Band 1B) role offering an attractive remuneration package.
