Description

In this role you will be responsible for accelerating the growth of sales and market penetration for the B&W Renewables products & services under a newly integrated leadership and organizational structure within the Asia-Pacific Region. To succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven with a focus on developing a strategic direction to help the company grow market share and shareholder value. You will have a passion for analyzing the market, identifying growth opportunities and working in a highly effective manner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve our goals.

Position can be located anywhere in Australia with ability to travel. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive research within the Asia Pacific markets and identify growth opportunities
  • An existing network of high value targets in these markets is preferred
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the region
  • Build and strengthen internal and external relationships to advance the business.
  • Support operations planning by identifying potential constraints to achieving growth action goals and propose solutions
  • Identify product & service improvements and developments through regular market intelligence gathering to protect and grow market share
  • Stay abreast of the competitions behaviors and product/service developments to inform strategic and tactical actions required
  • Develop Sales strategies, proposals, presentations and business cases for internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively manage the renewables opportunity pipeline and CRM system for the region
  • Personally drive key project/opportunity/strategic action development to successful conclusion
  • Guide marketing activity for the region aligned to the strategic plan objectives
  • Network effectively with key clients, including developers, financing community, EPC and Consulting Engineering companies to develop strong professional relationships
  • Negotiate with key vendors and service providers as needed
  • Synthesize monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on progress and development
  • Work to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained
  • Mentor direct reports, especially in regard to our values and vision
  • Contribute to the overall global success of our company

Qualifications

  • 10 years’ or more experience in the relevant role and industry with clear results-based career progression
  • Excellent knowledge about the Biomass/WtE Market Trends and Drivers, investors, technology suppliers, design of plant concept and CAPEX/OPEX calculations
  • Experience working with Developers, Investors, EPC and EPCM in the specific region and internationally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital
  • Ability to develop and enact long term growth strategies
  • Exceptionally well organized and driven by success
  • Experience of supporting operations enhancement to improve efficiency & collaboration between business lines/entities
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations
  • Outstanding negotiating skills
