Global Retailer Exciting eCommerce startup opportunity Fast paced, dynamic team environmentPOSITION SUMMARY The eCommerce Analyst is responsible for gaining actionable incites to increase visitation and sales through search engine optimisation, improving onsite product recommendations, A/B & multivariate testing and website personalisation. This individual will be expected to provide best practices and innovation to constantly improve the user journey for Costco.com.au from search engine to checkout. This position will be expected to partner with members of IS and the business to execute and improve SEO strategies focused on technology and content initiatives. They will be responsible for defining key metrics, set up reports, conduct analysis and provide recommendations for improvements to the eCommerce business. The ideal candidate will be a strong data analyst in online/ecommerce business and knowledge of digital marketing and search engine optimisation projects. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to successfully manage complex projects and roll-outs to tight timelines simultaneously a must.RESPONSIBILITIESProvides support to IS team leads, UX and technology partners to implement initiativesCollaborates with numerous outside vendors that support SEO strategy and drive growthPerforms ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunitiesPartners with Development teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code and applicationsAnalyses web traffic to drive insights to optimise user acquisition effortsDefines and tracks KPI’s and partners with IS and the business to drive analytics projects internationallyMeasures, reports and analyses results across products, channel, platform and other reporting segmentsHave responsibility for monthly Product KPI reports and optimisation projects and work to ensure these reports meet the business needs.Organises and manages A/B testing and multivariate experiments by partnering with UX and business partnersOptimise and maintain upsell and cross sell opportunities on the websiteConduct UAT/BAT testing for new website features and functionalityWilling to work flexible extended work hours as the occasion or business requiresAssists in other areas of the department and company as neededEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSExperience with HTML and JavascriptStrong analytical ability and familiarity with Google Marketing Platform (Analytics 360, Optimize, Tag Manager & Data Studio), Clicktale and other third party digital marketing toolsProficient in the understanding of analytical processing including data management, optimisation, predictive modelling and visualisationSuccessful track record of managing multiple projects and work streams independentlyHighly motivated, able to work independentlyDemonstrated interpersonal and team skills, must work well with peers and all levels of the organisationAdvanced Excel, Google Sheets experienceDemonstrated presentation skillsMinimum commitment of one year to the same teamUnderstanding of best practices for ecommerce searchAbility to identify and implement continuous process improvementMinimum 3 years experience with SEO and eCommerce websitesBA/BS from an accredited universityDedication to learning and development of SEO expertisePOSITION REQUIREMENTS Competency Statement(s)Communication – Articulates information, both verbally and in writing, in a way that can be easily understood by employees, members, and suppliers.
