What you’ll be doing
The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the provision of compassionate and professional nursing care to all patients. The Enrolled Nurse is the patient/client’s advocate and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/ clients of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District consistent with the LHDs policies, procedures and standards.

The Enrolled Nurse works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse retains responsibility for their personal actions whilst remaining accountable to the registered Nurse for delegated functions.

Professional development and active participation in the service Quality Improvement program are integral components of the role. All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees.

Selection Criteria

  • Current registration with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with Medication Administration Endorsement
  • One (1) year full-time post-graduate employment (or 1982 hours part-time/casual) within Australia
  • Recent clinical experience in an Acute Health Care setting (within the last 2 years).
  • Demonstrated commitment to person centered care and NSW Health Core Values.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
