Working on a casual basis, you will provide high quality nursing care within the Ceduna District Health Service to improve patient health outcomes. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will implement appropriate nursing care and assist with general and specialised procedures from nursing care plans. Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team, you will provide verbal and documented information within your scope of practice to patients, other health care team members, and members of the public, and contribute to your professional expertise by maintaining ongoing personal professional development and continuing education through a portfolio of post-enrolment learning. The redeveloped Ceduna District Health Services are part of the Eyre Flinders and Far North Local Health Network region, and includes the Ceduna Hospital and the GP Plus Health Care Centre ,Ceduna. Combining acute hospital and primary health care services in the one facility means the community can receive the most appropriate method of care, quickly and easily. You will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With experience within the boundaries of your education and skill preparation, you will be capable of providing nursing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Your effective verbal and written communication skills will enable you to work well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
