Amberley District State School are looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join the school administration team as the Business Manager for Term 1, with view of extension. As the Business Manager you will interpret and analyse business plans and work alongside the Principal to deliver a range of corporate services. You will manage the timely delivery of organisational executive and administrative support frequently identify opportunities to adapt processes supervise the support staff workforce and encourage an environment in which quality services are delivered by demonstrating best practice, inspiring change and influencing key stakeholders.

About Amberley District State School

Amberley District State School has approximately 825 students. There are 60 teaching staff including 34 class teachers and approximately 30 non-teaching members of staff. The office is run with two full-time AO2’s and 3 permanent part-time administration officers Monday to Friday.

Your Role

In this role you will manage the delivery of a range of corporate services, support educational management activities and lead the development of systemic change by actively supporting the school leadership team and school community. You will oversee the delivery of administrative, financial and human resources support, including the supervision of school support staff and influencing stakeholders on sensitive issues.

The position requires excellent organisational skills, together with the ability to multi-task. The ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, contractors and members of the wider community is an essential part of the role.

Knowledge and Experience

It would be beneficial for the successful applicant to possess the following to support the successful performance of the role:

  • Demonstrate scheduling, resource allocation and budget management expertise that can be utilised to ensure that facilities and assets are tightly controlled and subject to ongoing evaluation in terms of being fit for purpose.
  • The Business Manager brings knowledgeable input on corporate services.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
