How will I help?
Reporting to the Director of Operational Risk, this person will manage the strategic and operating agenda of the business unit to ensure the smooth running of day to day activities. You will provide line 2 insight and support into the business units plan and assist and monitor implementation of risk activities. You will be a pivotal part in owning the policies, frameworks and all things operational risk.
The Business Manager will provide advice and direction directly to the leadership team based on a strong understanding of the business and its operational risk needs. You will work both independently and in collaboration with the Director to write and submit responses, papers, reports, and presentations within specified time frames.
You will be building relationships across the Group and dealing directly with the Group Executives and Board stakeholders. At times, you will be asked to take responsibility on behalf of the Director on key initiatives and sign offs.

What do I need?
A strong candidate will bring a minimum of 8 plus years of experience across either Line’s one or two operational risk management to the table. This experience will come from Banking. This person can also come from an audit/consulting background having worked on banking client engagements. You will hold stakeholder management skills and be highly proficient with both your verbal and written communication. You will be asked to challenge and hold your own amongst some key people across the organisation and provide your thought leadership on several matters. You will be engaging with C suite level stakeholders so you will present yourself at the highest level.
