Business Management optimizes business performance by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, the role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from day to day in line with the priorities of the business.

Securities Services Finance & Business Management (F&BM) is seeking an Associate level Business Manager.

The role will provide support to the business on key strategic initiatives across the 3 key submarkets (Australian and New Zealand, Asia Ex. and Japan) within the APAC region. The candidate will work closely with functional partners across the firm which includes; Product Management, Sales, Product Controllers, Planning & Analysis, as well as Product Development, Risk, BCO, Compliance, Operations, and Technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis
  • Business Performance and Planning
  • Active involvement in assisting the coordination of the annual business budget and forecasting process (in conjunction with Product Controllers, and P&A)
  • Coordinate team activities and prepare materials for town halls, employee recognition, and strategy working sessions
  • Management Reporting and Analysis:

  • Compile monthly Business reviews
  • Analyzing and interpreting financial and operational information with the aim of identifying and understanding key trends within the business and providing meaningful value added reporting
  • Optimize business performance by providing measurement and helping to drive key initiatives
  • Generate key performance indicators
  • Partner with Product Managers and Commercial and Pricing to ensure profitability drivers for each product are understood (client and business profitability)
  • Ad Hoc / General Business Management Support across the business
  • Regulation, Risk and Controls:

  • Partner with product and the controls office to remediate risk and control issues
  • Provide financial and business data in support of regulatory requests
  • Provide business overviews and updates for Product meetings with Regulators
  • Provide co-leadership on NBIA processes for all initiatives impacting Securities Services.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area with prior experience in Business Management or COO role within a wholesale / corporate / investment banking; experience with Asset Servicing and Fund Administration a plus
  • Excellence in execution – “self-starter” demonstrates a willingness to take initiative and work independently, a problem solver
  • Builds good relationships with the ability to influence business leaders and partner well, particularly as part of a global business
  • Commercial acumen – ability to understand and grow the strategic business vision; focus on improving the bottom line
