About AMP Phone Based Advice

The role of the Phone Based Advice team is to complement our established face to face advice channel and provide customers with an alternate channel of choice. The business has discrete channel accountability as well as responsibility for the phone-based execution of growth and retention activity across all channels. This role will be part of a new and growing capability in AMP Assist, focusing on scoped personal financial advice, leveraging the technology delivered to help more Australian’s obtain advice.

About the roles

As a representative of the Phone Based Advice team you will help customers with needs achieve their financial goals by providing them with either scoped or comprehensive personal financial advice, which you will deliver over the phone using our digital integrated process. You will also provide service and advice where appropriate to those customers who are committed to an annual advice agreement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scoped or comprehensive advice to AMP customers who choose to deal directly with AMP over the phone
  • To strengthen the relationship AMP has with our customers e.g. corporate super, by providing scoped personal financial advice to members
  • Fulfil service obligations to those customers on an annual advice agreement
  • Driving profitable outcomes for AMP through the provision of personal advice
  • To re-engage with AMP’s underserved customers, and offer them financial advice that puts them in a better position.
  • Capabilities & Experience

  • 2 years experience as an Authorised Representative (AR) on during which time you should have been working with your clients directly and unsupervised
  • Working towards FASEA “Existing Adviser” education requirements (refer to

  • Experience with Salesforce and XPlan preferable
  • Meet background & reference checking requirements to hold Authorised Representative (AR) status under the AMP Financial Planning licence
