**The Financial Planning and Analysis Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi’s financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. -**


+ Maintain strong relationships with the businesses whilst not compromising the independence of the finance function

+ leading the creation and delivery of the annual budget / reforecast / outlooks and strategic plans for Australia Cards business including financial analysis as well as setting objectives & targets aligned with country, Asia regional and global directives,

+ providing in-depth analysis and commentary of Cards financial performance throughout Pre-month end and Actual closing process

+ Manage the development of financial models to effectively assess Cards financial position for the current reporting period vs. appropriate comparisons (MTD, QTD, YTD vs. PY, PQ and applicable forecast)

+ Support business strategic imperatives that may include business development, portfolio analysis, accounting change impacts and new product opportunities as well as CCAR/APRA stress testing

+ Drive optimal use of resources within the franchise through objective evaluation and recommendations for performance improvement.

+ Work closely with the onshore GCB FP&A and business finance teams to meet key deliverables such as monthly outlook and senior management decks and drive process change and efficiency

+ Perform analytical reviews on management reporting output in order to add value to the end-users, explain trends, investigate unusual variances and linking back into the various strategies or plans

+ Understand key business drivers, highlight opportunities & risks and link driver performance to financial performance

+ Search for and advise the business on opportunities for Revenue growth and expense efficiencies

+ Develop a best in class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This includes the development of standardised processes, centralised functions and leveraging offshore centres of excellence as well as conducting personnel duties such as performance evaluations or disciplinary actions where required.


+ Stakeholder management as senior level / experience with working with multiple stakeholders

+ Strong commercial acumen, analytical and problem solving capabilities with sound understanding of the Australia financial services industry, and experience supporting a Cards business.

+ Experience in budgeting and forecasting

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Experience in managing projects or significant tasks with strict adherence to deadlines; business case development;

+ A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft applications, esp Excel and PowerPoint and experience with planning related systems such as Oracle and Essbase.


+ Educated to degree level or equivalent. CA/CPA qualification / MBA preferred but not mandatory
