Opportunity to join an iconic Western Australian business in a hands-on management role with real career growth opportunities.

As ‘2IC’ to an experienced CFO with a reputation for staff development you will be responsible for the production of the annual accounts and management of a small finance team.

Located north of Perth’s CBD you will have the option of working from home days and flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and motivate a small transactional finance team consisting of accounts payables and receivable clerks
  • Preparation of annual financial statements including notes
  • Timely and accurate consolidation of the Groups annual financial statements
  • Liaising with both internal and external auditors
  • Ownership of the balance sheet including monthly reconciliations and signing off
  • Preparing various month end journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain efficient and effective financial management, regulatory control and compliance processes
  • Ensuring compliance with the organisations accounting policies and procedures
  • Supporting the finance function in identifying opportunities for improvement, including documentation of revised processes
  • Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with audit background
  • 1-3 years post qualification experience
  • Highly developed and effective communications skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff
  • Positive approach and attitude to both work and learning and development
  • Ambition and the want to progress to an FP&A, Finance Business Partnering position working toward CFO level
