Amazing opportunity for a trade qualified fitter mechanic to join a global leading company.

You will perform maintenance, assessment, repair, and testing on various types of industrial valves, actuators and other flow control equipment.

Description

  • Carry out mechanical repairs to valves, actuators and other flow control equipment
  • Understand, diagnose faults and repair of pneumatic and ELV electro pneumatic valve control systems
  • Test of SRV’s Manual and Control/ Automated valves and pump equipment within the workshop and onsite shutdowns
  • Carry out small design and fabrication work
  • Have a good understanding of maintenance procedures and repairing of mechanical and automated valving
  • Be proficient in all practical workshop practices to ensure company safety and quality outcomes are met
  • Be quality conscious with pride in the work done
  • Ensure all tool box meetings and daily plan meetings are attended
  • Profile

  • Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting
  • Minimum of 2years experience in the mechanical repair and refurbishment of flow control equipment
  • Ability to work safely and comply with company policies both internal and at external work sites
  • Ability to repair various valve types. PRV PSV in particular.
  • Qualified with extensive experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • Understand flow control, process control and provide solutions to customer problems
  • Willing to work on fly in and fly out service work if and when required.
  • Flexibility to work in multi-faceted working environments is essential.
  • Ability to work away from home for short periods
  • Exceptional customer interaction whilst working on site with process equipment.
  • Managing and completing the days planned activities, in an offsite environment.
  • Communicate clearly issues and problems found with individual jobs
  • Product / valve condition and evaluation reporting.
  • Track record of working as a team and achieving successful outcomes
  • Forklift HRW ticket (MUST HAVE)
  • EWP HRW Ticket
  • HRW Dogman ticket (MUST HAVE)
  • Trade Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Confined space ticket
  • WAH ticket
  • Driver’s license
  • Mines induction (Glencore, BHP, Peabody)
