Our Operating Assets business are seeking multiple electrical trade professionals to help ensure we continue to provide safe, reliable and on time trains. These opportunities will be for 24 months with the potential to extend pending business needs.
As a Fleet Modification Electrician you are responsible for carrying out safety critical installation, maintenance and repair on the City Train Fleet. This may include, European Train Control System (ETCS) fitment, brake testing and maintenance of the CCTV security system as well as repairs to the safety critical electronic control systems on the trains. Also fault detection repairs and carry out electronic, computer and Programmed Logic Controller (PLC) related repairs.
This fantastic opportunity will have you working for the biggest name in rail in Queensland and with the potential variety to work across two of our teams, Maintenance at Mayne and Project at Redbank. You must be flexible to work at both locations as you may be at either based on business needs.
Maintenance Team: 24/7 4 week rotating roster which will include day shift (0600 – 1530) and afternoon shift (1500 – 0030). Within the rotation days off will range from 2 to 6 in a row providing great work/life balance. In addition, overtime is required from time to time to meet business needs.
Project Team: Monday to Friday on a rotating roster which will include day shift (0600 – 1400) and afternoon shift 1400 – 2200). No weekends required, offering work/life balance.
We are looking for electrical experience with inspections (fault finding) and repair on rollingstock or heavy mobile plant, an Aviation background will be well suited. Experience with electronics is desirable.
You must hold a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence.Base salary is $61,000 plus superannuation and penalties with the potential annual total $117,000 plus superannuation.
