Job Summary

The Food Service Assistant (Kitchen-hand) is responsible for providing customer service, food preparation and housekeeping services to the Dining Facility and for providing assistance as required to the Head Chef, Sous Chef and Cooks. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Cleaning utensils, cutlery, crockery, glass and equipment

+ Cleaning all areas of the Dining Facility including floors, service counters, carpets and food preparation areas

+ Removing refuse and replenish consumables as required

+ Customer service

+ Operating cash register, including receipt of monies and balance verification

Minimum Requirements

+ Australian Citizen and the ability to obtain a NV1 Clearance

+ Experience in a food services environment

+ Customer service experience

+ Experience operating cash registers

+ Experience and knowledge of food service area cleaning practices

+ Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ HS Diploma

+ Drivers License
