The Frontend Technical Lead enables Siteminder’s Frontend Engineers by steering the Frontend architecture, leading the Frontend Guild, and ensuring adoption and evolution of the Siteminder UI Component Library. They are passionate about user experience and making beautiful, performant frontends

As a Frontend Technical Lead, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Help Siteminder deliver best in class, accessible, user interfaces within our product development framework
  • Collaborate with engineers across the business to fulfil the frontend architecture strategy
  • Provide subject matter expertise and mentorship for engineers working on frontends
  • Ensure a strong and productive Frontend Guild where engineers from across the company can collaborate
  • Guide the direction of the Siteminder UI Component Library and ensure it’s adoption and usage
  • Delivery of projects as required

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience building and maintaining large scale production platforms using modern web technologies
  • Solution design including requirements gathering, documentation, build, deployment, and ongoing ownership
  • Proven experience with responsive design and accessibility
  • Experience coaching engineering best practices
  • AWS (Lamda, S3, etc) and infrastructure as code
  • Professional experience with React, Node, Vue, TypeScript 
  • Professional experience with relational databases and key/value store databases
  • Professional experience with both GraphQL and RESTful API design
  • Understanding code testability, build pipelines, docker and CI/CD systems
