The General Manager, SecurePay Group is responsible for leading SecurePay and POLi Payments, 100% owned subsidiaries of Australia Post. The role has operational accountability for the SecurePay business, reports directly to the GM Payments and Financial Services, and is an integral role within the Payments & Financial Services leadership team. The role is responsible for all areas of SecurePay including financial, operational & technology performance, risk & compliance management and leading a growing team of technical and customer focused specialists. The role is focused on continuing the growth and innovation of SecurePay as a profitable and sustainable payments business, along with supporting the delivery of the product road-maps associated to the payments platform business within Australia Post Group, and supporting go to market of new products and solutions for SecurePay customers.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Determining and delivering business strategies and plans for SecurePay Group, in alignment with the Payment & Financial Services strategy
  • Successful implementation of technology and change initiatives to support SecurePay transformation
  • Deliver the development of new functionality, services and solutions to drive customer retention and growth
  • Regulatory compliance accountability for the SecurePay Group
  • Conception, setting and execution of the people plan and change agenda for SecurePay
  • Lead a high performing team with behaviours aligned to shared values
  • Represent SecurePay on the Financial Solutions Leadership Team
  • What we’re looking for: 

  • Strong experience in senior management roles in organisations undergoing significant change
  • Experience in managing and developing new products and translating these concepts into viable commercial opportunities.
  • Background in building and leading a multi-disciplinary team (e.g. Customer Service, Operations, Technology, Finance, HR)
  • Extensive knowledge of key market drivers, industry players and latest developments within competitive markets as related to payments and eCommerce
  • Significant knowledge of and experience in payments
  • Demonstrated strategic and commercial acumen in complex environments
