Description Are you passionate about Basketball Admin? Do you have experience managing a sporting association? We are a not for profit organisation delivering Basketball for all participants, no matter who they are or where they come from. SDBA management style is to be collaborative and inclusive encouraging ideas, productivity, innovation, and efficiency. Giving and take constructive feedback to ensure that mistakes are minimized and mitigated whilst empowering the participants. What does the role involve? The General Manager SDBA reports to the Chairperson of the Board works closely with the Head of Basketball and team members to implement the Association’s Strategic plan and aspirational goals. The role is supported by each of these functions/part time roles that report to the General Manager Head of Basketball Finance Communications and Marketing Association Admin Support Canteen Coordinator Other roles or functions as required The General Manager will oversee all operations of the association and be the compliance and governance champion for the association. Areas of responsibility include Management of all facets of Operations, Facilities, stakeholders, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Communications and Canteen. Development, implementation and evaluation of: Growth opportunities A targeted Sponsorship program A player program for senior players to increase employability. A maintenance plan to prioritize works and improvements to SDBA facilities, Relationships with key club stakeholders and Government and governing bodies. Membership program for players, sponsors, committee members etc. Budgeting and Forecasting Operations: Implementation of strategic plan Engage directly with all stakeholders of the association both financial and volunteer Compliance Reporting Oversee Finance and coordinate and participate on finance committee Game Day logistics Oversee Canteen and catering Asset utilisation Systems management To be successful in this role you must have: Proven success delivering revenue growth and executing strategic initiatives. Proven success working with a range of stakeholders which could include clients, families, service providers and government agencies achieving positive outcomes. Effective approach to governance and compliance with experience developing policies and procedures for compliance and risk minimisation. Demonstrated experience managing a successful team. This is not a 9 to 5 Monday to Friday role, but we do offer flexible work practices and encourage a work life balance.
