This mixed billing practice bids farewell to one of their doctors, creating the opportunity for an enthusiastic GP to join and help provide healthcare to the local community. There is the opportunity to work on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on your needs and preferences.
The practice is situated adjacent to the local hospital, with the option for you to participate in procedural work (Emergency Department and surgery) as well as hold VMO rights. For doctors interested in participating in one on-call night shift per week, one weekend per month and providing VMO services, a house and car package can be negotiated. This is your chance to combine your GP experience with your emergency skills and take that next step in your career.
You will work alongside four GPs in a well-equipped facility that will allow you to provide your patients with exceptional healthcare. The practice boasts nine consult rooms, a treatment room, dedicated practice nurse room and two waiting areas. Standing by your side will be experienced admin staff, practice nurses and a practice manager that will support you where needed so you can focus on patient care. Additionally, there is access to several allied health services such as a diabetes educator, dietitian, podiatrist, speech pathologist, psychologist, and osteopath.
The practice opening hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 9:30am to 11:30am. The clinic does facilitate 24-hour care for their patients, with each doctor currently working one weeknight per week and one weekend per month on-call coverage. This is an opportunity to utilize your skills and earn well in a supportive practice.
The practice is situated in the Western District of Victoria, approximately 200 kilometres south-west of Melbourne and only 20 minutes from the stunning Victoria Coastline and the Great Ocean Road.
It is in a picturesque and quaint township that boasts lush pastures, rolling hills and stunning natural bushland. The town is known as a rural centre with a strong foothold in the dairy industry, with the production of milk, cheese and butter central to the local economy. You will be set amongst gum trees, koalas, kangaroos, and other Australian native species, making this a very scenic country destination. With plenty of things to see and do, you will also be just 20 minutes from the world-famous 12 Apostles and stunning great ocean road. If you have family and children to consider, there is a local school that offers education from kindergarten to year 12.
