Spatial Services,a division of the Department of Customer Service, is the key provider ofspatial land information services in New South Wales. Spatial Servicesintegrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package ofland and property services including property information, surveying and mapping. SpatialServices’ provides land information services to individuals, businesses,government agencies and non-profit organisations throughout NSW, Australia andinternationally.
Spatial Services’ Emergency Information Coordination Unit (EICU) ensures thatthe emergency management sector has the best spatial and related data availableto deal with multi-agency emergencies, such as terrorism and natural disasters.The EICU aims to implement and maintain a collaborative data sharing system onbehalf of the emergency service organisations and the emergency managementsector in general.

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Data and Technical Services, you will be required toundertake a range of activities related to solution design and applicationdevelopment of digital solutions that support the NSW Emergency Managementsector and facilitates the automation of capture, maintenance and deliveryprocesses of emergency related NSW spatial data and associated applications.
This holder of this role may also be required tosupport emergency operations and should have experience with GIS systems.
The holder of this role should be able to achieve asecurity classification.
Successful candidate will be rewarded with a supportive and flexible teamenvironment in a role where you will be using initiative to research,investigate and recommend solutions to data anomalies. Maintain knowledge ofnew and emerging technologies within the spatial industry. Using initiative toresearch, investigate, recommend and implement technical solutions. Solvingproblems of a complex technical nature within an environment of change andconflicting priorities.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role startingat $110,745 base plus superannuation
