Launching into the new decade, Roma Food Products are excited to lead the way in the manufacture of innovative products to meet the rising global demand for plant-based foods.
Today, they are positioned for their biggest surge in growth and consumer popularity as the business has gone from strength to strength. With company-owned production facilities, Roma manufactures products across the biscuits, snacking, crispbreads, breakfast, pasta, baking, and dessert categories. Roma presently produces for its company-owned Brands – Orgran Health & Nutrition and Buontempo – as well as delivering products across the retail, foodservice and industrial channels.
As the business is continuing to launch new products and extending its reach both globally and domestically, Roma is seeking an experienced, passionate Head of Commercial to join the SLT.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Commercial will develop and execute the overall sales, brand, and category channel strategy, take complete ownership of set financial objectives, and oversee the marketing function. Over the past 6-months, Roma Foods have significantly increased retail market share with the introduction and consistent growth of its product portfolio. This has created a strong relationship and recognition with Australian consumers as well as the export market. This business-critical role will leverage Orgran and the strong Roma Foods’ legacy to champion the ongoing growth strategy for Orgran, Future Brands and Private Label in new categories.
The Head of Commercial will lead the national sales and marketing team across Retail, Export, Industrial, and Foodservice channels overseeing all areas and customers, with a very strong mentoring and guiding team leadership style. The right leader will have the ability to “roll up their sleeves” and be completely hands-on at all times. They will guide, mentor, and lead their teams to develop and manage all promotional, volume, and strategic business plans with Retail and Foodservice partners to maximise sales results and profitability. The Head of Commercial will spearhead the further development and strengthen the current relationship with Retailers to expand into new mainstream categories. They will drive a ‘category centric’ approach and achieve set category growth and market share targets as laid out in the business’ operating plan.
The Head of Commercial will have prior exposure to marketing roles, as they will play an integral role in helping to build Roma Foods long term Innovation Program and shaping the way Roma Foods unlocks future potential. The right leader will actively support the CEO and leadership team in creating a highly engaging and supportive culture across the entire organisation. They will play a critical role in creating further connectivity with operations in Carrum Downs, through both physical presence and collaboration with site-based Manufacturing, Technical, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain teams.
