Lead and drive the development and maintenance of a Safety Culture where “going home safely” underpins our organisational philosophy and decision making. Undertake proactive education and compliance activities to ensure that safe and environmentally friendly job practices are followed, in accordance with procedures and guidelines. Perform risk assessments in all departments of the business including ‘off-site’. Lead major incident investigations and ensure capability of others to investigate less serious incidents. Lead the management, ongoing development and implementation of the WHS management system. Develop and present data relating to current state and emerging trends in health & safety. Maintain a high level of workplace safety and effectively manage employee health and well-being programs and activities to lead to our zero-harm goal. Skills, Knowledge and Experience. Minimum 3-4 years professional on-site experience. Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian OHS legislation and industry standards. Strong experience in driving a safety culture and behavioural change. Experience balanced between getting out and about in the workplace and safety systems, reporting and analysis. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people. Ability to influence, motivate, coach and mentor personnel at all site management and operational levels;. Lead investigation and auditing competency;. Experience in a manufacturing or other high-risk environment. Group training and 1:1 coaching. Qualifications. Tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent.
