ABOUT THE ROLE

3x permanent part-time  opportunities available for dedicated and passionate candidates with extensive cleaning, laundry and kitchen hand experience working within an aged care or hospital environment. This position is based at our Hale Hostel in Coolbellup.

The days and hours of all the vacancies are outlined below: 

Vacancy 1. 

Week 1 & Week 2: 

Monday: 1600 – 1930 

Tuesday: 1600 – 1930 

Sunday: 1600 – 1930 

Totalling 21 hours fortnight

Wednesday: 1600 – 1930 

Thursday: 1600 – 1930 

Friday: 1600 – 1930

Saturday: 1600 – 1930 

Totalling 28 hours fortnight

Wednesday: 0800 – 1500

Thursday: 0800 – 1500 

Friday: 0800 – 1500 

Saturday: 0800 – 1100

Totalling 44 hours fortnight

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents including sandwich and salad preparation
  • Prepare and clean the dining area prior to and after meal services
  • Cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen utensils (dishes, cutlery etc.)
  • Taking and recording temperatures throughout shift
  • Cleaning of designated areas including vacuuming, mopping and sweeping 
  • Working as part of a team to ensure all tasks are completed each shift
  • Building rapport with residents and their families
  • ABOUT YOU

    The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to work independently and have experience working within an Hospitality Aged care/ Hospital environment.

    Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a Hospitality role in an aged care or hospital environment
  • Experience working with people living with dementia 
  • Competent time management skills and ability to work in line with routines and schedules
  • Ability to provide a clean National Police Clearance less than 6 months old
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment physical assessment and reference checks
