Short Term Contract – AS06
8 week contract to commence on the 5th October and Run through until the end of November.
Within this role you will be responsible for the provision of a broad range of generalist human resource advice and services to portfolio clients. Offering effective partnering methods and your workforce knowledge and skills you will work with business units to help them achieve their strategic, operational and performance goals.
The role will coordinate the development and implementation of HR solutions, aligned with business objectives, which will address key workforce challenges for the medium and long-term.
The role will focus on the promotion of HR practices and people management across the department to achieve organisational success.
Assessing and anticipating human resources-related needs and delivering services to a specific portfolio within the department that enhance business and employee performance and outcomes.
Providing oversight of human resources efforts with long-term strategic direction.
Developing and contributing to equitable and consistent application of human resources management practices across the department.
Providing coaching to managers and staff on human resources-related matters.
Leading and/or coordinating human resource management projects, and proactively contributing to workforce relations policy development and implementation.
You will offer experience in being able to:
Lead human-resources-related services for organisational reviews and restructures and provide input on workforce and succession planning.
Analyse data trends and metrics to inform business decisions.
Maintain awareness of strategic and workforce plans and financial position and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and align human resources efforts with key performance outcomes.
Develop and foster partnerships through human resources to connect management and employees.
Connect and consult regularly with Executive, management and staff in portfolio and provide coaching when appropriate.
Develop human resources solutions, initiatives, policies and procedures in consultation with specific portfolio and colleagues across People, Strategy & System Services.Mediate and resolve employee relations issues and conduct thorough and objective investigations.
Seek opportunities to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention.
Educate your portfolio to ensure compliance with legislative requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees.
You will also need to offer :
A current National Police Check (NPC)
Hold a current Australian issued Driver’s Licence (equivalent to minimum class ‘C’ which must be maintained.
Public sector employment experience advantageous
Recent employment within a HR Business Partner position or similar
