We currently have an opportunity for a HSE Officer to become an integral part of our Health Safety & Environment (HSE) Team within the M&IS Division. You will primarily be responsible for providing support to the HSE Lead and operations

On the job training will be provided along with the opportunity for career advancement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and maintaining HSE information, performance tracking, recording and reporting systems
  • Conducting audits and inspections across multiple sites
  • Delivering inductions and training packages 
  • Preparing HSE monthly reports
  • Monitoring and providing support in the use of the HSE incident management system
  • Conducting routine and ad-hoc HSE statistical and graphical performance reporting
  • Interpreting, reviewing and writing Management Plans, policies and procedures
  • Identifying opportunities to continuously improve HSE performance, recording and reporting systems and processes
  • Ability to work away for short periods of time
  • To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Diploma in OHS or greater (essential)
  • A Cert IV in Training & Assessing (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a HSE role within the maintenance/construction industry
  • Experience in the use of computer databases and information management systems
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
