We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced, hands-on Improvement Specialist to join our Improvement team on a full-time permanent basis.
Our Improvement Specialist will be driven and passionate to doing better and making an impact in a dynamic environment.
This role will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across metro and regional locations, while applying data analysis and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for improvements across our supply chain and lead initiatives to convert ideas into tangible results. In addition to building and improving management systems that will to ensure that the improvements are sustainable long-term.
Key responsibilities include
Coach individual department leaders in the application of business improvement methods and Lean Principles to solve business problems.
Engage with appropriate stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints and build understanding and commitment to optimised operating protocols.
Ensure operating systems enable optimal site turnaround time during harvest periods.
Identify process improvement across the supply chain and drive business performance through development, coordination and implementation of management systems that drive business performance.
Demonstrate a clear problem-solving methodology through the application of structured root cause analysis systems, analysing data or processes, performing gap analysis and making well-judged decisions to implement sustainable solutions through Continuous Improvement.
Skills and experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with a lean manufacturing or supply chain optimisation or industrial process management with key responsibilities related to process improvement and efficiency.
Up to 8 years relevant experience with a high level of technical knowledge.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to influence others, sometimes against pre-held views.
Critical thinker who can assess and solve complex problems.
Sound knowledge of operating and exposure to management operating systems.
Able to effectively plan and manage multiple priorities and activities in line with time and budget commitments.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to create buy-in and engagement from diverse stakeholder groups.
Competent in financial and operating analysis and interpreting common financial and operations reports.
