The Position

In this business partnering role as Injury Management Advisor – Work Health , you will work collaboratively with the National Injury Management Work Health team in supporting stakeholders across multiple business streams to deliver a world class loss minimisation function. We are currently looking for an outcome focused individual to join this team. Your primary deliverables will be to provide pre-employment screening services & solutions, and provide strategic advice and technical assistance to achieve business objectives in injury management. This is an ideal opportunity for you to expand your skills in a hybrid role within a dynamic environment where you will be supported and mentored throughout. This position is a full-time permanent role, based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth or Sydney, with a requirement for occasional travel onsite or interstate.

Key duties

  • Conduct functional capacity screening
  • Drive positive safe deployment outcomes
  • Coach, mentor and negotiate with internal stakeholders to drive outcomes
  • Case manage medical and rehabilitation aspects of the return to work process, inclusive of compensable and non-compensable matters
  • Build strategic relationships and effectively manage service providers
  • Facilitate system and legislative compliance
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nationwide initiatives to improve work injury management processes
  • Occasional travel to sites
  • The Person

    Your success in this role will stem from your experience, knowledge, and qualification in the following areas

  • Allied Health qualification and experience in a relevant Allied Health field (preferably Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a clinical role; workplace rehabilitation or similar
  • Case management experience in an occupational rehabilitation context
  • Sound knowledge of workplace injury prevention and workplace rehabilitation
  • Being highly self-motivated, outcome focused, and proactive with a desire to make a difference
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a strong team
