Our client is a global leader in healthcare and medical devices, this opportunity is based in North Ryde with an initial engagement of 3 moths


Responsibility for driving inventory health and its associated KPI’s across the network for portfolio

Proactively manage supply risks and analyze network requirement trends. Working closely with branches and Local distribution centers to drive correct stocking levels. Prepare and plan for support of lifecycle management, inventory health related stocking initiatives i.e. excess, expired or obsolete products. Ensure the optimization of returns processing and scrap management.

  • Ownership of Inventory health
  • At Franchise level across all product locations own Inventory health by driving the business to a state of right inventory at the right place at the right time
  • Identification, prep and plan of inventory improvement initiatives which drive seamless execution of E&O & scrap reduction activities across all locations
  • Working closely with the stocking locations to execute Lifecycle management projects & initiatives
  • Working with each stock location to set right fit inventory levels for trade stocks
  • In times of inventory shortage utilizing analytics to take the lead in identifying and liaising with stocking locations to centralize and share inventory.
  • Ownership of the franchise returns management process including liaising with all locations on regular plans for returns
  • Ownership of Scrap management ensuring ANZ meets MAPS controls
  • Enable the distribution and movement of inventory. Run the process to move stock between warehouses either the Direct Requirements Planning (DRP) or via STO process
  • Own the creation, optimization execution of reporting of inventory health to all areas of the business. Covering Inventory Health, E&O and aging inventory
  • Creating and using analysis tools to provide insights into areas of inventory optimization across all stocking locations
  • Analysis of inventory balances in each storage location, to understand impact on service, total inventory holdings, E&O and potential supply sensitivities
  • Working with all vendors, Planning, Marketing, Customer Service and branch teams on inventory health activities from Service improvement, supply issues and service risk mitigation to inventory health improvement activities
  • Lead and participate at all scheduled meetings (Regional/National Team).
  • Provide support to team colleagues through sharing information, problem solving, contributing innovative ideas and offering constructive opinions – leading to improved individual and team effectiveness.
  • Seek and utilise expertise of all team members (including other Divisions) and Managers to improve performance.
  • Ensure Management is alerted to opportunities or problems requiring action outside of your sphere of influence.
  • Requirements:

  • 1-2 years in the supply chain planning or inventory management
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • SAP experience is highly desired
  • Business reporting experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Previous Medical Devices experience is highly desired
  • Advanced data analytics capabilities
