    About the Opportunity

    Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible to optimize the follow of material from suppliers through to production as well as returns, to meet the needs of the customer in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner.

    Being part of ASC shipbuilding program, you will be working in an evolving environment focusing on innovation and continuous improvement culture and an ability adapt and embrace change is critical to the success of the position.

    More specifically, you will

  • Manage work orders and develop reports to monitor and improve product flow, supplier performance and reduce costs through the supply chain
  • Analyse, forecast, review demand and project plans to determine statistical demand plan, gaining alignment
  • Collaborate with supply chain functions to improve forecast accuracy and minimise risk
  • Manage work orders and develop reports to monitor and improve product flow, supplier performance and reduce costs through the supply chain
  • Plan phased delivery of goods to the warehouse to utilise capacity and ensure consistent throughput to production factoring in for shelf-life, order volumes, space and restrictions
  • Provide feedback to the procurement team, by using data to influence purchasing decisions
  • Support the development and implementation of supply chain strategies and identify planning process improvements within own scope of work
  • About you

    As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated experience in supply and demand planning within a supply chain or similar environment preferably in heavy manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience or exposure to business improvements preferably in supply chain environment with an ability to form good working relationship across the business
  • An ability to show initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines with strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong ability to analyse complex data and propose appropriate business solutions
  • Proficient user of Ms Office Skills and knowledge of ERP systems
  • Whilst not essential, degree qualification in logistics, supply chain or business discipline with professional procurement qualification or a membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) is desirable
