Because that’s what we’re all about here at RAA “”giving people the power to make moves that matter.About the role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced journalist to work for one of South Australia’s highest-circulating and most-read publications – samotor magazine.This role will require you to help coordinate the production process of both the digital and print publications. Reporting to the Content Manager, your responsibilities will include:Generating story ideas, as well as researching and writing articles of an exceptionally high standard for both digital and print publications;Implementing strategies to grow online readership, in conjunction with the Content Manager and content team;Identifying and implementing tactics to continually improve both print and digital content;Writing video scripts;Collaborating with the design team on layout ideas, photography and artwork; andDeveloping and maintaining sound working relationships with various stakeholders, including internal departments, advertisers, printers, designers and other suppliers.You will need:Tertiary qualifications in Journalism or Communication Studies;Experience in news and feature writing for publications (e.g. magazines or newspapers);Understanding of methods for growing digital traffic and audiences;Experience with WordPress, analytics, SEO and Photoshop is favourable;Exceptional grammar skills;Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with a wide variety of key stakeholders;Ability to respond effectively to and prioritise multiple tasks and requests at short notice.What we offer:This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small, innovative and professional content team.
