We conduct our operations in the community in compliance with the principles of ecologically sustainable development.</p><p> </p><p><strong>About the team</strong></p><p> </p><p>The Engineering & Maintenance Directorate manages a $1.5 billion annual maintenance program on behalf of Sydney Trains and NSW Trains – delivering a safe, reliable passenger fleet and metropolitan rail network, to meet growing customer demand and keep Sydney moving.</p><p>The Project Management Team manages and drives major projects such as the refurbishment and upgrading of Sydney Trains and NSW Trains Major Works projects.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The opportunity </strong></p><p> </p><p>Right now, we have a senior leadership opportunity for a Lead Project Manager to manage and deliver major Operational Technology projects with a strong focus on Communications within Sydney Trains and NSW Trains Major Works division.</p><p>You will act as the conduit between Construction, external communication providers, State Federal and Local government, and Environmental groups to ensure timely delivery of these large, complex projects.</p><p> </p><p><strong>What you will be involved in:</strong></p><p> </p><ul> <li>Leading complex refurbishment and upgrading projects for Major Works including development, design, contract management, testing and commissioning</li> <li>Designing and implementing a program that ensures maintenance processes and funding are in place</li> <li>Collaborating with a wide variety of Directorate, divisional and TfNSW stakeholders on long term asset management plans for the projects ensuring the needs of the projects and associated assets maintenance are aligned.</li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p> </p><p>You are tertiary qualified in Engineering / Project Management and/or have equivalent experience in delivering large complex projects, highly technical with very different stakeholders in a compressed timeframe.</p><p>You have complex stakeholder engagement experience and have extremely good communication skills with an ability to engage with people at all levels.</p><p>Ideally, you will also have a strong understanding of the passenger rail industry and rail operations, major project development and delivery.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Salary and benefits</strong></p><p> </p><p>This is a Transport Senior Service role (TSSM Level) offering an attractive remuneration package.</p><p> </p><p>For more information on Employee Benefits at Sydney Trains please click <a href="https://files.jobs.nsw.gov.au/ddxn9t"><strong>here</strong></a></p><p> </p><p><strong>Want to know more?</strong></p><p> </p><p>Please click <a href="https://files.jobs.nsw.gov.au/iq5i88"><strong>here</strong></a> to view a copy of the role description.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Interested? </strong></p><p> </p><p>Right now is an exciting time to join our team as we deliver an iconic $52.1 billion investment into future transport infrastructure and services over 40 years.</p><p>Be a part of something big.
