Based at our Corporate Head Office on St Kilda Road in Melbourne and reporting to the General Counsel & Deputy Company Secretary, you will be joining an inclusive environment with structured, supported career development and long term career opportunities.
Providing legal advice and support, including but not limited to, provision of mining, property and land law advice; contract drafting (e.g. Royalty Agreements, Land Access Agreements, Deeds of Assignment and Assumption, Confidentiality Agreements); native title advice, preparing contract summaries and supporting corporate transactions;
Providing ad-hoc advice under the supervision of General Counsel & Deputy Company Secretary and relevant external counsel, in respect to legal issues covering Australian, Canadian and Papua New Guinea law;
Maintaining a corporate records system and a register of agreements; and
Maintaining the Company’s Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) compliance system, including maintaining the online register and preparation of Board ABAC compliance papers.
You will be admitted as a Lawyer, ideally with three to four years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) and have an interest in the Gold mining industry. This position is an ideal step up towards General Counsel or Company Secretary in the future.
