    We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced lawyer to use their workplace relations expertise on a broad range of matters. Working as part of a high performing People, Culture and Change (PCC) team you will help drive the ER/IR strategy to effect commercial and cultural outcomes that align with DuluxGroup’s delivery and growth ambitions.

    Reporting to our Head of Workplace Relations, this fixed term role provides a great career opportunity to work with a market leader and make a real impact.

    Key accountabilities will include;

  • Development and roll out of key ER/IR specific projects and initiatives;
  • Supporting the enterprise bargaining strategy, negotiations, and dispute resolution;
  • Fair Work Commission and court disputes, including preparing documents, participating in conciliations/mediations and representing DuluxGroup during proceedings (if and when they arise);
  • Providing strategic and pragmatic advice across the DuluxGroup businesses on a range of ER/IR matters;
  • Development of ER/IR specific training programs and initiatives to lift the capability of leaders;
  • Indirect workforce advice (labour hire, contractor and consultancy);
  • Support with any M&A activity and other significant business change events.
  • There is also an opportunity to learn about overseas jurisdictions and advise on/support employment and industrial relations matters in New Zealand, Asia and beyond.

    What you will bring

    We are looking for a technical expert, qualified to practice law in Australia. You will require strong communication skills with the ability to influence at a senior level. Key to success will be your ability to operate in a complex environment by engaging a broad range of stakeholders. You must also be able possess:

  • LLB & Current Practising Certificate
  • Strong knowledge and experience in employment law (ideally including industrial relations) with a minimum of three years’ experience
  • Prior private practice or corporate experience
  • Commercial acumen with a pragmatic approach
  • Manufacturing and/or retail sector experience will be highly regarded.
