    The opportunity

    The Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance team here at QBE are looking to grow the capability of their team moving forward. We are looking to recruit a Credit Risk & Modelling Analyst to provide analysis and support in the development, strategy and use of credit risk and underwriting tools.

    This role is an analytical role looking for someone who can;

    Provide support in the development and maintenance of credit risk scorecardsAnalyse internal and external data to understand the credit quality and performance of the portfolioUse analytical skills to identify opportunities, develop solutions and make recommendations with credit risk tools to improve customer service and underwriting efficiency within risk appetiteSupport business initiatives and participate in projects to improve the effectiveness of credit risk toolsManage the policy referral rule change process and identify opportunities for improvementLiaise with senior management and various business functions across LMI and QBEWork with external suppliers to identify improvement opportunities in the underwriting process

    Your story so far

    A degree in business or related discipline is preferredPrevious experience in data analytics, ideally within the finance sector, or Credit Risk Management or consumer lendingAbility to analyse, interpret and extrapolate data and resolve complex issues or problems, and convey the results in a simple mannerSAS and/or SQL skillsModel development skills desirableData visualisation skills and Microsoft Power BI desirableAbility to work in a fast paced, pressurised environment with the ability to meet deadlinesA willingness and desire to learn, with a proactive approach and a high level of attention to detailStrong communication skills with a level of business acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels
