  • About the Role

    In this role, you will work with a digital operations team to deliver quality learning material for online distribution in the department’s Learning Management System (iLearn).

    The role involves building, uploading and maintaining content using storyboards and design scripts for distribution on iLearn; designing test plans; testing learning objects and resolving defects; building and maintaining applicable LMS templates; and facilitating knowledge transfer to support and maintain the content produced.

    To be successful in this role you must have a strong conceptual understanding of Learning and Development, as well as Learning Management Systems (ideally iLearn). The ability to apply instructional design concepts and principles to course, assessment, and supporting assets will also be important.

    Responsibilities

  • Work with the Change Management and Learning Design Officer to build, test and deploy learning content for onboarding staff onto the department’s Customer Relationship Management system;
  • Alert stakeholders to issues with the LMS and the learning materials and liaise with them to find solutions consistent with educational objectives and best practice;
  • Utilise Articulate 360 to design and create engaging learning resources and courses, including innovative information layouts, gamification and knowledge testing;
  • Create test plans and testing learning activities and objects, logging test tasks and outcomes and resolving defect;
  • Collaborate and liaise with stakeholders to ensure all materials are accurate and delivered on time for printing/uploading;
  • Make content recommendations based on the subject needs; and
  • Support knowledge transfer to departmental digital support staff for support and maintenance of content produced.
  • Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in the design of E-Learning and blended learning content and courses;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current E-Learning design principles and trends;
  • Experience with authoring tools, particularly Articulate;
  • Use of multi-modal methods to deliver engaging content;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to understand organisational requirements;
  • Demonstrated experience in working with content matter experts to deliver projects on time; and
  • Experience with the iLearn Learning Management System (LMS) extremely desirable.
