As a Maintenance Engineer (Civil) within our Operations and Maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for the management and maintenance of all the civil elements of WestConnex, ultimately helping to keep Sydney safely moving. The WestConnex Operations and Maintenance Team is structured across four core management disciplines to facilitate the efficient management and delivery of maintenance activities across the WestConnex motorways. As one of these management disciples, the Planning and Performance Team, provides the expertise and management required to efficiently deliver the annual program of works across the WestConnex motorways. The impact you’ll have: You’ll help ensure our commuters get to their destination safely and on time, by developing maintenance plans and delivering maintenance projects to ensure that the annual workplan is delivered As the subject matter expert, you’ll provide engineering advice to the O&M Service Provider You’ll co-ordinate emergency works support disruption so that disruptions are minimised to the WestConnex business With a focus on quality, safety and best practice, you will ensure all works are delivered in accordance with the WH&S Management Plan, WCX’s standards and industry best practice. You’ll never stop improving, keeping yourself and the business up to date with emerging innovations and best practice. The talents you’ll bring: You will have several years’ experience working with civil projects in a tunnel, road or other dynamic environment. You’ll have completed a Civil Engineering Degree, or have gained an equivalent level of knowledge through your working experience Being super organised, your planning, project management and time management skills will see you manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. You’ll be accustomed to managing and working with numbers, that is, cost control, budget management and contract management are all familiar to you. A natural problem solver, you’ll have the ability to apply your technical skills to practical problems, undertake root cause analysis and identify solutions to electrical issues. You’ll have a valid driver’s licence to enable you to travel to our NSW assets and attend stakeholder meetings.
