Joining us during the pre-opening phase, our  Maintenance Supervisor  at  DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront  will ensure that engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including general property maintenance energy conservation, are working properly and to standard. Additionally, the role will also be responsible for staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of engineering, as required for hotel standards.

Reporting to the Cluster Chief Engineer, key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the hotel rooms and facilities;
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise;
  • Ensure good relationships with internal and external customers and contractors;
  • Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard;
  • Ensure energy conservation initiatives are implemented;
  • Recommend maintenance system improvements and energy savings;
  • Follow occupational health and safety regulations, in particular, the storage of hazardous substances;
  • Keep your technical training knowledge and skills up to date;
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.
  • To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Previous maintenance experience in a similar establishment; an electrical, plumbing, mechanical refrigeration, carpentry or painting background is highly advantageous;
  • Current working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work;
  • Relevant qualifications for the role;
  • Ability to work varying shifts across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required;
  • Capability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes;
  • A high level of personal grooming and presentation;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Hold unrestricted Australian Working Rights.
