The ANZ Mass Spectroscopy Specialist (MS Specialist) assists the field organization to meet or exceed sales quota, through the provision of technical expertise and participating actively in the sales process from deal qualification to deal closure. This is a sales-focused role, responsible for driving increased orders, customer engagement and customer support amongst the Agilent Mass Spectroscopy portfolio (LC-MS and GC-MS). The growth in sales of Mass Spec products is critically important to the success of the ANZ operations.
The Mass Spectroscopy Specialist role will operate cross-functionally across the Agilent organisation in ANZ and within the organisation globally, predominantly through customer demostrations, technical support and sales activities, to increase the competitive win rate for Agilent. The key functions of the role are to:
Assist the sales organization to meet or exceed sales quota, through the provision of technical expertise
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer and prospects in all ANZ locations.
Participate actively in the sales process with territory Account Managers from deal qualification to deal closure. Own the deal’s technical closure
Work closely with all levels of the customer organization to provide Agilent solutions in a consultative manner.
Be proactive and resourceful and demonstrate true Customer-Centric behaviour.
Communicate clearly and have an intimate knowledge of customer needs and have flexibility to resolve matters in the best interest of both the customer and Agilent.
Integrate Agilent products and services into customer’s environment. Also ensure our system solution platform is functioning properly at the customer site.
May deliver consultation related to our application, as well as assist in pre-sales and post-sales activities, for customer satisfaction.
Strong technical and practical experience in all LC-MS and GC-MS technology and applications.
Proven customer focus and excellent rapport-building skills
Strong presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills.
Previous sales experience or exposure to sales environment with intimate knowledge of the sales process
Capable of handling multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn/expand contribution
Capable of working with instrument software, spreadsheets and assessing data and information in various forms.
Able to prepare and present reports and recommendations to a wide audience.
Work effectively with sales and cross functional teams, with ability to also work independently.
Domestic travel required, up to around 50% of time (some international travel may be required periodically)
Postgraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically 5-8 years practical experience in broad applications for LC-MS/GC-MS single-quad, triple-quad and QTOF technologies
