About the Role …

 

Reporting to the Office Manager / Contact Centre Team Leader, the Medical Receptionist will be split between working with a supportive team at the clinic’s busy reception desk and offering important assistance to our Contact Centre, answering calls from patients and healthcare professionals. 

 

In this role, you will be required to undertake the following duties:

  • Driving the delivery of high quality reception and contact centre services
  • Managing appointments to maximise customer service and clinic efficiency
  • Providing excellent customer service and patient care
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers

The role is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday with 7.6 hour shifts between the core hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm, with some occasional weekend work as well.

As the reception team are the first point of contact for our valued patients, referrers and customers, we place the utmost importance on ensuring our frontline staff deliver professional, caring and friendly services. 

 

You will be passionate about providing excellent patient care, have excellent organisation skills and be a team player.  You’ll also be committed, enthusiastic and possess excellent communication skills, ensuring customer service is to the highest standard. 

 

Using your caring and friendly demeanour, you will be able to provide high quality, accurate and efficient reception, contact centre and administration services.

 

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: 

  • Previous medical receptionist and call centre experience (highly desirable)
  • Strong customer service skills and experience
  • Ability to manage high volume, inbound calls, often handling complex enquiries
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to provide excellence in patient care and customer service
  • Basic understanding of medical imaging terminology and procedures
  • Proven ability and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated high energy and a proactive positive attitude
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Confident computer skills
