Mental Health Clinician – Acute Care Team

• Conduct triage, mental health assessment, short term treatment and recovery support to consumers accessing health services for acute mental health issues at an entry point to the mental health service of West Moreton Health.

About Acute Care Team
Acute Care Team (ACT) functions as the first point of contact to community and acute mental health services 24 hours, 7 days a week. Following assessment, the team facilitates the most appropriate type of care (e.g. inpatient, community, crisis interventions) for the individual.
Anyone can access this service by calling 1300 MH CALL (1300 64 22 55) directly and talking to a health care professional.
The ACT is located at Ipswich Hospital.
About the role
In this position you will, deliver clinical services applying evidence based principles in undertaking triage, assessment, short term treatment and risk management alongside consumers with acute needs of both emerging and chronic mental health outcomes.
