Refine and update the weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and five year outlook plans as required
Liaise consistently with the geology team to ensure all grade control data is utilised and reconciled against in all operational planning tasks.
Assist the Mine Surveyor prepares and maintains all suitable plans to satisfy all safety, legislated and operational requirements.
Ensure all drill and blast plans prepared by the Mining Contractor adhere to industry standards end ensure all blast patterns are created as planned; and reconciled as necessary.
Provide input information for long term planning as required (costs, equipment performance, excavation and dumping strategies)
Ensure that a monthly reconciliation is prepared (in conjunction with the geology and operations team)that clearly identifies the flow of ore from mining areas, through the crusher ore stockpile, into the beneficiation plant and process plant so that all metal can be accounted for.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Tertiary Qualifications in Mine Engineering with 5+ years post-graduate experience
Some exposure to contractor mining operations in selective mining operations
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of short term/medium term planning and budgeting as well as operational support.
High level of competence in the use of mine planning, scheduling and reporting software.
Experience with Surpac and Mineshed is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
A proven history in delivering results in scheduling, budgeting and reporting.
A current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
