    Avivo support people across Western Australia who require individualised assistance to live at home due to disability, frailty or mental illness. We work together with people and families to plan, coordinate and provide support and services as they choose to lead their lives.

    We are looking for a Support Worker for a young person who is fun and easy-going, passionate about music and performing in musical bands; the customer values honesty and trust in the people that provide support.

    The role of the Support Worker will be firstly to build trust and to support this young person navigate life. The Support Worker will be able to help the customer face new challenges and help them build resilience and skills to an independent life. In addition the customer will require support with communication, especially with unpredictable and new situations.

    The Support Worker will also need to have an interest in music and be willing to accompany the customer for band practise and performances.

    As a team player, you will need to be able to develop trust, be reliable, flexible, enthusiastic and patient.

    Duties include :

  • Providing social support, community engagement and assisting within their voluntary role.
  • Providing trust, reliability, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
  • Problem solving issues with the individuals and the Support Worker team
  • Actively engaging in regular team meetings 
  • What we require:

  • Experience in Disability is desirable but not essential
  • You are reliable, flexible and possess a positive attitude
  • Possess excellent communication skills and work well within a team environment
  • Hold a current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are essential
  • Flexible availability to work on weekdays and occasional weekends
  • Ideally living in or close to Geraldton area.

  • Hourly rate of between $21.21 and $27.34 depending on experience level plus super and penalties

  • Travel allowance of 78 cents per kilometre between supports
