Pathology Queensland are seeking two fixed term temporary part-time OO3 Pathology Assistants (for 6 months with possible extension) to join our team. Located in Hervey Bay and Maryborough the primary purpose of this position to assist Scientific and Technical staff in the provision of a high quality, customer focused Pathology service to the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service District (WBHHS).

What we are looking for:
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities’, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Experience in the collection of diagnostic samples from a range of patients including children and babies.
Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire experience in the correct procedures of pre-analytical processing for the performance of laboratory testing.
Proven ability to follow instructions and work conscientiously and accurately with minimal supervision after careful instruction.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work productively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail, ability to focus in a busy, complex environment.
