Position Summary

  • Permanent Part Time – 40 hours fortnight
  • Townsville Community Care
  • $32.88 – $40.03 per hour (FTE $64,975 – $79,102) + 9.5% Super + Salary Packaging
  • We’re seeking Physiotherapists passionate about community and aged care to join our team in Townsville!

    You’ll provide holistic, integrated care to our clients enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. Working with a number of movement conditions associated with musculoskeletal impairments, genetic conditions and chronic disease, you will tailor your care to make a real difference in your client’s quality of life!

    Working across our facilities and client’s homes, you’ll have the opportunity to develop new treatment programs, helping clients to manage their movement, pain, balance and manual handling. This will include: 

  • Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
  • Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and modification
  • Education and training on aspects of therapy for the clients and carers
  • Goal setting activities, as well discharge and resolution planning
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored
  • What you’ll need

    You’ll be passionate about providing exceptional clinical treatment and therapies designed to enable your clients to maintain and improve their independence. You’ll be self-motivated and driven to incorporate contemporary theory in your day to day activities and make a real difference to the lives of our clients! You’ll present with:

  • Tertiary Qualifications and current AHPRA registration
  • Previous experience within an Aged Care or Acute setting
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
  • Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required
