Central West Hospital and Health Service is looking for a Principal Dentist to join their Oral Health team in Barcaldine on a Permanent Full Time basis.

About the Role
Provision of strong clinical leadership is essential to this role. This position has a focus on delivery of high-level generalist clinical services, as well as providing mentoring support for dentists and other oral health staff and supervision of dental students. This includes primarily public oral health services in Barcaldine, Longreach and mobile sites across the Central West with limited provision of private patients through the service.
This position is responsible for the implementation, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of Oral Health Services across the Central West and for driving clinical service improvement and innovation. The Principal Dentist is also responsible for the management of the financial, physical and human resources allocated to the Oral Health Service.
The role is primarily an operational clinical role. Given managerial and administrative responsibilities, 15% of the position is focussed on these responsibilities.
The total remuneration value of up to $177,455 p.a., is comprised of: salary between $150,898 – $155,531 p.a., (DO3); employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%); annual leave loading (17.5%); permanent full-time; accommodation assistance (conditions apply); applications will remain current for 12 months.
