  • Our client is an established company recruiting a Procurement Officer role and require an experienced candidate to start immediately.

    To be considered for the roles you will have demonstrated experience in:

  • Provide a high level of customer service to end users requesting goods or services.
  • Systematically place purchase orders for requisitioned goods and services to approved suppliers based on defined policies and procedures.
  • Assist the business through sourcing of low value goods and services including supplier identification, product identification, costs, delivery and other relevant information.
  • Work collaboratively with receipting staff and suppliers to expedite the purchase orders to resolve supply issues.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and accounts payable staff to resolve invoicing issues.
  • Have a detailed and clear understanding of procurement policies and procedures to assist with directing requests to the appropriate procurement resource.
  • Ensure safety requirements are considered and that the relevant staff are consulted in the procurement assessment process for new tools, clothing and equipment.
  • Day-to-day management of supplier contact information.
  • Support performance management processes by running reports for requisitions, purchase order, supplier and other information.
  • Provide necessary feedback to the Supply Chain Manager on non-compliances with procurement policies or potential cost or process improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the core value of safety excellence by ensuring risks and hazards are minimised and that safety standards are understood and adhered to.
  • Support any future internal and online catalogues for commonly requested goods. Including product description updates and pricing updates.
  • Candidates will have the following:

  • Capable operating an ERP system
  • Ability to organise data and compile / publish data and in excel
  • Attend meetings with vendors and provide feedback to internal customers
  • Building rapport and developing good stakeholder relationships
