Production Lead Technician – Media Preparation Area – Bendigo

We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.


    This is an exciting opportunity that will see you being responsible for:

  • Oversight of daily operations relating to large-scale and small-scale media manufacture
  • Performing direct and Indirect activities associated with the manufacture of intermediates (media & antigen) and final vaccine material as per the Production Schedule and in accordance with local Regulatory and GMP requirements
  • Prepare, stage, use and maintain a variety of mechanical or laboratory equipment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and ensure Good Documentation Practices
  • Participate in Site Tier Process
  • Apply MPS tools and methodology to lead and support investigations and CAPA implementation
  • Participate in company sponsored training and events 

    Ideally you will have:

  • Bachelor in Science (Biology / Chemistry / Life Science) or related discipline, or equivalent industry-related experience 
  • Experience in a GMP production environment (preferably related to media manufacture or scientific involved in formulation of solutions)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading individuals or a small team in a Department, Area or on projects/trainings
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique &/or working in a cleanroom environment 
  • Exposure to Single Use Technology (desirable)
  • Ability to problem solve & roll out new processes, as well as train/assess operators
  • Capability to carry out regular physical work & to wear mandatory safety wear
  • Good computer skills across the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven skills in technical report writing
  • A keen eye for detail with excellent organisation skills 
  • Initiative & who works well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to make sound decisions on a day to day basis
