Psychologist

The Role:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological and related assessments and interventions under the NDIS or other avenues via our telehealth and face to face services
  • Delivering counselling services to clients
  • Expert consultation and provision of positive behavioural support services to people with a disability and their service providers/families, in line with an individual’s NDIS plan and goals.
  • The development of positive behaviour support plans which can include at times the use of restrictive practices.
  • You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, monitoring and review of client outcomes including the training of the individual with a disability, their support staff and family members.
  • Liaising with other service providers to achieve positive client outcomes and receive repeat referrals
  • Requirements of the role:

  • Registration with a relevant professional body (AHPRA) (required)
  • Skilled and experienced in writing high-quality reports
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum disorder and Intellectual Disability and other complex diagnoses (desirable)
  • Counselling experience using CBT, DBT, person-centred and trauma-informed approaches (desirable)
  • Experience using a wide variety of Psychological/Behaviour assessments (desirable)
