Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Do you have Clinical Doctorate/Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and current registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or currently undertaking a Board approved registrar program for the purpose of gaining such endorsement? Do you have knowledge of a wide range of psychological assessment procedures and specific training and experience in cognitive behavioural and other therapies on an individual and group basis, as well as experience in providing appropriate and evidence based psychological treatments for patients with cancer and ability to provide patient management advice? This position will provide psychological diagnosis, assessment and treatment for patients with cancer and their family and significant others presenting with a wide range of psychological issues. These may include depression, anxiety, specific phobias, adjustment disorders, cognitive and behavioural problems, and grief and loss. This position will participate in research and education and may be expected to supervise post-graduate Psychology Interns. Clients will be seen individually and may be seen in groups.
