Meningie and Districts Memorial Hospital and Health Services provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care outpatients and aged care beds. Seeking experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurses, you will assist in providing professional high quality patient care on a shift-by-shift basis in a defined clinical area. You will be involved with assessing individual patient’s needs, planning and implementing appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options, and contributing to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours. Other core activities will include participating in quality improvement activities that contribute to patient safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting, and supporting nursing/midwifery practice and learning experiences for students undertaking clinical placements, orientation for new staff and preceptorship of graduates.
Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. With demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will bring sound knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse within a healthcare setting. Creative, innovative and flexible, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care. Well organised with good communication, problem solving and negotiation skills, you will be able to prioritise workload accordingly. You will be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others in a multidisciplinary environment.
