The registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of quality, cost effective, patient/client/resident centred nursing care in consultation with other members of the health care team and in accordance with Australia’s National competency standards for registered nurse. They are a key member of the multidisciplinary team, planning and evaluating nursing care and providing clinical supervision and nursing leadership as required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Operating theatre environment and willingness to participate in an on-call roster to support birthing services at Cooktown MPHS
High level communication and interpersonal skills including ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with hospital and community health providers within the Torres Cape Hospital and Health Service and beyond.
Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture

Remuneration value up to $106 057 comprising salary between $2,653.70 – $3,562.90 per fortnight

Requirements for the role:
RIPEN or similar qualification or working towards is highly desirable.
Previous clinical experience in a theatre environment
This position will require the incumbent to participate in a clinical on call roster.
